Trademark
The Indian Trademarks Act was enacted in the year 1999. According to the Act the term "trade mark" means a mark capable of being represented graphically and which is capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one person from those of others and may include shape of goods, their packaging and combination of colours. In general a proprietor of a business having registered a Trademark in connection with his trade has the right to use the mark exclusively for the purpose of his business and gets legal protection that ceases anyone else to use or imitate that registered trademark.
